Citrus Soy Glazed Salmon
GF • Serves 2
This is my favorite way of cooking salmon. It’s simple, versatile and always turns out amazing. First, you want to season the salmon with spices of your choice. Next, bake the salmon for 10-12 minutes with the skin on! Keeping the skin on the salmon while you bake it will prevent the fish from drying out. The final step is creating a sugar-based glaze to paint on the salmon halfway through the baking process, which forms a delicious caramel crust when the fish finishes cooking under the broiler. Serve salmon over a colorful salad or with rice and veggies.
Ingredients Method
2 salmon fillets
1 tablespoon olive oil
Smoked paprika, seasoning
Garlic powder, seasoning
1 teaspoon lime zest, ½ teaspoon per salmon fillet
Salt, seasoning
Freshly ground black pepper, seasoning
* Glaze*
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Juice of 1 lime
1 tablespoon honey
1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Evenly coat salmon fillets with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and lime zest. Once seasoned, bake fish with the skin on for 10-12 minutes.
2.In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, lime juice, and honey. After 10 minutes of baking, remove the salmon from the oven and paint the glaze onto the fish. Broil the salmon for 5 minutes or until a golden crust forms.
